With backgrounds in marketing, PR and copywriting we have drawn on our extensive industry experience to offer clients a very personalised service, which directly meets your individual business needs, while aligning seamlessly with your goals and ambitions.
Having worked together for many years, we have transitioned from simply work colleagues to firm friends. As such, 2025 felt like the right year to combine our knowledge and skills and to create 81 Marketing, a small, specialist agency delivering practical, accessible and impactful marketing services for small businesses.
Our aim is to always be approachable, accessible and affordable for clients too. We can tailor the services we have available to suit all budgets PLUS you can be confident that we will always strive to ensure you get the most from the budget you have available.

CLAIRE LAYCOCK
I commenced a career in PR back in 2004, working first for the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce before moving to London to work agency side. I have worked both in the private and the public sector, with clients spanning many industries from residential property to recruitment.
In 2011 I took the big step to start out on my own, and I haven’t looked back! Over the years I have honed my copywriting and content creation skills, and I have expanded my offering to deliver a range of SEO services. There is a real sense of achievement when you help a small business to earn their rightful place within the relevant search results!
I really enjoy getting to know new clients and their different businesses, working in partnership to achieve great results. I'm also a firm believer that it's important to have some fun and to share a few laughs along the way.

AUSTEN
My career in marketing started over 20 years ago at Linden Homes Chiltern where I enjoyed the next 14 years, learning and experiencing a huge amount along the way. Having the opportunity and privilege to work on and launch some award-winning developments and marketing campaigns (as well as some epic Christmas parties!)
My move to Stubbings Property Marketing, saw my role change from client side to agency, this time working for many different brands across a range of small to larger housebuilders, of course bumping into some familiar faces along the way.
I am passionate about enjoying my work, making a difference, turning ideas into reality, and being part of a team that drives positive results.
